The Academic Board is a body comprising senior academics in the Informatics Education Ltd. Its main objective is to provide and continuously improve on the academic and standards governance within the entire Informatics group. It is also tasked with the auditing power for the group’s conformance to these specifications, and to take the appropriate action(s) to correct deviation, if any.
The appointment of membership to the Board is based on the individual’s experience in the tertiary education industry. Although the Board members serve different roles in the Group, they are knowledgeable individuals who will contribute in the rigorous discussion academically during the Board meetings.
The Board serves as the forum for the final review and discussion of policies, procedures and practices that involve collaboration and coordination between the academic schools and divisions.
It will set up clear leadership, guidelines and directions in academic and standards matters and communicates academic and standards matters of the group to all employees and the public.
Duration of the Term
The members of the Board will usually sit for a term of two years.

Mr Tng obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the UK’s Open University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Network Engineering from NanyangTechnological University. He joined the school in 1991 and has held positions such as Centre Manager, Faculty Head, Principal Lecturer, Senior Programme leader and Dean.

Mr Tham is the CEO and Founder of Meister Inc Pte Ltd, a consulting, advisory and training company which started its operations in May 2012. He is also an adjunct Professor and Course Leader at National University of Singapore’s Risk Management Institute and Strategic Technology Management Institute respectively.
Mr Tham holds a Master in Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney. He has special interest in areas of Enterprise Risk Management, Big Data and High Performance Computing and Analytics. He is experienced in the successful design, development and implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management analytic platform, and risk dashboards.

Teo Sea Ngem has 12 years of teaching experiences in IT, and 8 years in Assessment Services related experience. She started as a senior lecturer in Informatics Computer School, majoring in all IT modules and Mathematics. She was then appointed as a unit leader in Mathematics for Computing in both the local and overseas centre. She moved on as an Academic Team Manager where she supervised a team of full-time and contract lecturers before joining her current position as a Senior Manager in Assessment Services.

Darrell obtained his Master of Arts with Distinction in Education from the University of Huddersfield in 2017 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Schools) from the University of Huddersfield.
He joined NCC Education in 2015 and is the current Head of Product, where he is responsible for driving and managing new products, maintaining and updating existing products at NCC Education.
