Programme Overview

The NCC Education Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (RQF) qualification is designed for students whom are Information Technology and computing graduates or IT practitioners whom wish to further develop their career.

Students will be exposed to a wide range of contemporary issues, which will enable them to develop the critical, analytical and technical skills needed for senior positions within the IT sector. The qualification will also develop their academic skills, which are required for further study at master’s level.

Delivery Model
Combination of lectures, tutorials and workshops in a classroom environment at Informatics Academy campus. Lessons are typically in blocks of 3-4 hour sessions.

Normal Entry

Minimum Age: 21
Academic Qualifications: An honours degree from a UK university (minimum 2:2) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related subject. OR IT graduates who hold a Bachelor’s ordinary – or pass – level degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related subject with high marks may be considered for admission.
English Language: An IELTS score of 6.5 or above for candidates who do not hold a degree-level qualification wholly taught and examined in English.

Alternative Entry

1) Combined Route:
• Holders of a UK Bachelor’s degree with honours in a non-IT related subject (or equivalent) and 3+ years of work experience in an IT environment, with significant technical or managerial responsibility; OR
2) Work Experience Route
• Five years of work experience in an IT environment, with significant technical or managerial responsibility. ; AND
• Obtain a valid score of 6.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination or equivalent.

Assessments for all units are offered in a number of assessment cycles throughout the year. Units are assessed by both examination and coursework assignments.

Upon successful completion of all modules, students will be eligible for the NCC Education Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (RQF) awarded by NCC Education.
The qualification is designed to allow entry to and/or enhance progression to a wide range of IT management roles in public, private or charitable sectors. Successful graduates of the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (RQF) can also apply to various MSc qualifications with UK universities either on campus or online.

NCC Education currently has articulations in place for entry on to MSc qualifications and other master’s level qualifications with a number of universities.
