Programme Overview

This advanced diploma will provide a more holistic education for students with a strong foundation knowledge in IT and practical skills such as software development, security, project management and computer networking.

It is designed to cater to the different students’ interests and dynamic changes in manpower requirements of the IT industry. The tracks available for students to choose from are: Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing, Software Development, Web Development, Computer Security, Media Technology, Data Analytics and Database Administration.

Delivery Model
Combination of lectures, tutorials and workshop conducted in classroom environment at Informatics Academy campus. Lessons are typically in blocks of 3-hour sessions.

Normal Entry

Minimum Age: 19

Academic Qualifications: International Diploma in lnfocomm Technology awarded by Informatics Academy OR PEI qualification that articulates into year two of University Degree programme; OR Polytechnic Diploma in IT or computing related field with exemptions

English Language: Certificate in Proficiency in English from Informatics; OR GCE ‘O’ Level – C6; OR
IELTS – minimum score of 6.0 and equivalent for TOEFL (PBT) or TOEFL (iBT)

Alternative Entry

Mature candidates (30 years old and above) with the below credentials may be considered for mature entry on a case-by-case basis:

  • Completed Secondary Education
  • Fulfilled English language proficiency requirement
  • Eight years working experience in a related field

Students will be assessed through a combination of coursework, project and examinations. Coursework may be in the form of class tests and assignments. Assessment methods may vary according to individual module requirements.

Upon successful completion of all modules, students will be eligible for the International Advanced Diploma in Infocomm Technology awarded by Informatics Academy.
Upon successful completion of the International Advanced Diploma in Infocomm Technology awarded by Informatics Academy, the student is eligible to apply for a Bachelor Degree programme in Information Technology discipline.
